Laura Faye Knowles Hutcheson, age 89 of Waco, passed away on April 6, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, dedication, and love that touched the hearts of all who knew her. Born on January 18, 1937, in Ranburne, Alabama, she was the daughter of the late Chester Carter Knowles and the late Pearl Izabelle Robinson Knowles. In addition to her parents, Laura is preceded in death by her child who died in infancy, her husband, Tommy Hutcheson, her sisters and their spouses, Virginia & Sam Cobb and Imogene & Ragan Styles, and her brother, Olen Knowles.
Laura’s life journey was marked by an enduring spirit and a deep devotion to her family and friends, as well as a cherished circle of beloved pets who brought joy to her everyday. As a respected Property Manager in Vinings, Laura dedicated several years to Thompson Properties. In her spare time, she enjoyed life's simple pleasures - gardening, yard sales, shopping, and traveling were among her favorite pastimes, with a special fondness for visiting casinos. Laura’s personality shone brightly in her love for her extended family and friends. She treasured these relationships, nurturing connections that spanned generations. Laura Faye Hutcheson’s life was a testament to love and kindness, anchored in the bonds she nurtured and the memories she created.
She is survived by her beloved brother, Dwight Knowles of Franklin, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews who will continue to hold her memory close to their hearts.
A celebration of Laura's life will be held on Sunday, April 26, 2026, at 2:00 PM (Alabama time) at Macedonia Baptist Church in Cleburne County, Alabama, with Pastor Mark Williams officiating and remarks by family and friends.
Cremation services were entrusted to Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel & Crematory of Buchanan.
