Mr. Kenneth Lee Bedford, age 74, of Cedartown, Georgia, passed away surrounded by family and friends Thursday, July 2, 2026. He was born on January 2, 1952, in Cedartown, GA. He was the son of the late Hugh Wilford and Louise Anderson Bedford.
Kenneth was retired from the United States Postal Service. He was member of Second Baptist Church of Cedartown. He was a gifted golfer and member of Cedar Valley Golf Club. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend to many. His love for his family was evident in all he did. His kindness, wisdom, and unwavering devotion will be missed by all who loved him.
Mr. Bedford is survived by his loving wife, Kathy Collins Kitchens Bedford; son, Keith Bedford (Kathy) of Bremen, GA; daughter, Kelly Bedford Parkin (Gene) of Waco, GA; bonus children, Jada Woods Brownfield (Doug) of Independence, Ky and Jarod L. Woods of Huntsville, AL; goddaughter, Anna Marie Kerr of Cedartown, GA; grandchildren, Taylor Bedford, of Carrollton, GA, Grace Parkin & Christian Parkin of Waco GA, Preston Bedford of Bremen GA, Paige Brownfield and Anna Brownfield Miller, (Jeremy) of Independence, KY; and his first great grandchild is due on his birthday January 2nd; sister, Melissa Bedford Spelman (Ed) of New Smyrna Beach, FL; sister in law, Peppar Wright Head, of Buchanan, GA; brother in law, Johnny and Lyn Wright of Decatur, GA and many nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Bedford is preceded in death by his first wife, Michelle Wright Bedford and his brother, Phillip Wayne Bedford.
The memorial service for Mr. Bedford will be held on Monday, July 6, 2026 at six o’clock in the evening at the Second Baptist Church of Cedartown with Rev. Justin Carter officiating and loving family members offering eulogies.There will be honorary seating for the members of CHS Class of 1969. Interment will follow in the Bremen Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery, 320 Gordon Street, Bremen, Ga. 30110.
The family of Mr. Bedford will receive family and friends on Monday, July 6, 2026 from four o’clock in the afternoon until the funeral service hour at the Second Baptist Church of Cedartown.
The family respectfully requests that floral arrangements be omitted and memorial contributions be made to the Second Baptist Church-Building Fund, 152 Evergreen Lane, Cedartown, Ga. 30125.
