Kathy Bange Walsh, age 78 of Rockmart, passed away peacefully Saturday, September 14, 2024, at her residence.  Born in York, Pennsylvania, on January 10, 1946, she was the daughter of the late William and Ruth Bange.  In addition to her parents, Kathy is preceded in death by her husband, Anthony "Tony"  Francis Walsh, III.

Kathy was a graduate of Catawba College in Salisbury, North Carolina, where she earned her bachelors degree.  She continued her graduate work at The Catholic University in Washington, DC, where she was awarded a masters degree in Sociology.  Always caring for others, Kathy began her career as a teacher in The US Virgin Islands, before moving on to her life's work as a Social Worker. Spending time at the beach and with her fur babies were two of her favorite pastimes.  However, being with her family was her passion.

Left to cherish her memories are her children: Stephanie & Chris Daniel of Temple and Anthony & Katie Walsh of Plano, Texas; her sister and brother-in-law, Susan & Bob Baker of Chicago; and her precious grandchildren: Mary Daniel, Darian Daniel, Shelby Daniel, Gracie Daniel, Kevin Walsh, and Brianna Walsh.  Also surviving are her great-grandchild, Luke Daniel, and her nephews, Robert Baker, Paul Baker, and Andy Baker, as well as other extended family and friends.

In keeping with Kathy's wishes, she will be cremated.
