Ms. Katherine Louise Smith, age 70, of Buchanan passed away Thursday, January 14, 2016.  Ms. Smith was born in Cullman, Alabama on January 26, 1945.  She was the daughter of the late Leo Smith and the late Mattie Mobley Smith.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by five sisters, Magdalene Fortner, Audie Easterwood, Ruby Lewis, Annie Mae Jordan and Lessie Sullins; and one brother, Milford Smith.

Survivors include one brother-in-law, Frank Sullins of Hanceville, AL; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Graveside services will be conducted Sunday, January 17, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. (Central Time) from Duck River Baptist Church Cemetery, Hanceville, Alabama.  Interment will follow in Duck River Baptist Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Blake Bone, Donnie Fortner, Michael Smith, Robert Smith, Eugene Sullins and Tim Smith.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M.
