Julie Ann Crossley Payton, age 61 of Waco, passed away in her home with her loving family by her side, on Tuesday, June 4, 2024. She was born on August 18, 1962 in Stockbridge to the late Catherine Cook Crossley and Grady Crossley, Sr. Julie worked for Haralson County School system for over 20 years. During this time. she loved and nurtured many children. Even after retirement, she was acknowledged in public for the influence she had on their lives. She enjoyed taking trips to the beach, attending church, afternoon walks at the park, puzzles and her daily Starbucks run. She took every opportunity she had to help others and spend quality time with her grandchildren.

Left to cherish her memories in addition to her father, her husband, Randy Payton; daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and Brad Thornton of Waco and Nichole and Conner Mays of Villa Rica; son and daughter-in-law, Jonathan and Tana Payton of Fruithurst, AL; 10 grandchildren, Nick Bradley of Waco, Hannah Bradley of Waco, Riley Winslett of Tallapoosa, Braxton Payton, Bowynn Payton, Breccan Payton, Benaiah Payton, Britanyah Payton all of Fruithurst, AL, Kellan Mays and Will Mays of Villa Rica; brothers, Billy Crossley, Grady Crossley, Jr. both of Stockbridge; sister, Cathy Crossley of Waco and Niece Ava Crossley of Waco and several other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, June 7, 2024 from Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel at 3:00 PM with Reverend Barry Taylor and Reverend Joey Meeks officiating. Interment will follow in Waco Baptist Church Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers: Shane Payton, Greg Brock, Nick Bradley, Ricky Payton, Harold Payton and Jimmy Standbridge.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 1:00 PM until the service hour.
