Ms. Julia Mae Bennett Dobbs, age 70, of Buchanan passed away Sunday, May 5, 2013. Ms. Dobbs was born in Haralson County on April 30, 1943. She was the daughter of the late Harvey Mack Bennett, Sr. and the late Eula Mae Harper Bennett. Ms. Dobbs was a homemaker. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Tammy Barrett; one son-in-law, Larry Dyer; one sister, Agnes McClure; and four brothers, Luther Bennett, Mack Bennett, Reid Bennett and Peal Bennett.

Survivors include three daughters and two sons-in-law, Sue and Tommy Martin of Buchanan, Sherry Dyer of Felton and Kathy and Keith Johnson of Felton; one son and daughter-in-law, John and Beverly Dobbs of Buchanan; one sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and Johnny Pope of Buchanan; thirteen grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at 4:30 P.M. from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Buchanan with Elder Max Kimball, Elder Kim Hardin and Elder Dennis Dean officiating. Interment will follow in the Brannon-Perryman Cemetery with Ms. Dobbs grandsons serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening from 6:000 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. and Tuesday from 1:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M.
