Juanita Nix Ezell, 96, Of Rome, Georgia formerly of Buchanan passed away on October 6, 2012.

She was born in Quitman, Louisiana on August 25, 1916 but spent most of her life in Alabama and Georgia. She was retired from the Arrow Shirt Company with over 30 years of service and a member of the New Liberty Baptist Church in Yorkville.

She was preceded in death by her parents Cason Nix and Lela Nix Roberson, her husband Lonnie E. Ezell, sons Edward Leon Hughes, Gary Hughes and Butch Hughes. Step sons Harry Ezell, Samuel Ezell, Gene Ezell and Jack Ezell. Step daughters Grace Bailey, Ora Sharp, Loise Allen and Margie Burgess.

Survivors include daughter Rita Brown (Calvin), step daughter Alta Mae Willet, step son Gordon Ezell, daughter in laws Patricia Hughes, Mary Sue Ezell and Billie Ezell, 18 Grandchildren and many great and great great Grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. Also the staff and friends at the Summit Nursing Home and roommate Anna Barcombe also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, October8, 2012 in the chapel of Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel at 2:00 PM on Monday with the Reverend Calvin Brown, Reverend Eddie Hughes and Reverend Billy Swift officiating. Interment will follow at the Tallapoosa East Cemetery. Grandsons will be asked to serve as pallbearers and great and great great grandsons will serve as honorary pallbearers.

The family will recieve friends at the funeral home from 12 noon until the funeral hour.
