Juanita Griffis Benefield, age 61 of Buchanan, passed away on Friday, November 6, 2020. She was born on March 26, 1959 in Cedartown to Mattie Mae McKibben Griffis and the late Garland Griffis. Besides her father she is preceded in death by a brother, Randall Griffis.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Eric and Heather Benefield of Rockmart; mother, Mattie Mae McKibben Griffis; sister and brother-in-law, Becky and Ricky Weaver of Felton; two granddaughters, Hailey and Reagan Benefield and several beloved nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, November 8, 2020 at 4:00 PM from Dugdown Baptist Church with Brother Jason Hudgens and  Reverend Richard Brannon officiating. Interment will follow in Center Baptist Church Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers: Josh Brown, Shawn Kemp, Jody Benefield, Ronald Walters, Michael Barkwell and Rick Boatright.

The family will receive friends at the church from 2:00 PM until the service hour.
