Mr. Joseph Harmon Mangum, age 83, of 2705 Gum Creek Airport Rd., Roopville passed away Sunday, June 20, 2010. Mr. Mangum was born in Buford, Georgia on May 7, 1927. He was the son of the late Harmon Mangum and the late Mildred Tibbs Mangum. Mr. Mangum was a veteran of the United States Army serving in World War II and was a retired builder. Survivors include his wife, Gwen McKibben Mangum of Roopville; one daughter, Rebecca Ann Ayers of Douglasville; one son, George Richard Mangum of Roopville; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. No services are planned. The body was cremated. Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel & Crematory of Buchanan is in charge of the arrangements.
