Mr. Joseph Andrew Kelley, age 89, of 448 Wesley Camp Rd., Tallapoosa passed away Monday, March 26, 2007. Mr. Kelley was born in Haralson County on April 29, 1917. He was the son of the late Thomas Jefferson Kelley and the late Lee Parrott Kelley. Mr. Kelley was a veteran of the United States Army and was a retired laborer. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by four sisters, Vonie Lambert, Lena Vines, Delcia Ayers and Kathryn Kelley; five brothers, Sam Kelley, Harvey Kelley, Hoke Kelley, John Henry Kelley and Bill Kelley; and a special friend Terry Bentley. Survivors include his wife, Lena Kelley of Buchanan; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Thomas and Darlene Kelley of Buchanan and Johnny Kelley of Buchanan; two grandchildren, Amber Kelley of Buchanan and Alexis Tullock of Bremen; and a number of other relatives. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, March 28, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. from Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel with Rev. Buddy Gentry and Dr. W.A. Ivie officiating. Music will be rendered by Trivia Lyle. Interment will follow in the Buchanan City Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Colby Dyer, Eddie Ayers, Lowell Ayers, Mark Ayers, Anthony Ayers, Randy Pullen, Billy Joe Ayers and Doc Bentley. Military honors will be provided by the Haralson County Veteran''s Association. Mr. Kelley will be greatly missed by everyone who enjoyed his presence. Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel of Buchanan is in charge of the arrangements.
