Obituary

Mr. J.P. Bollen, age 62, of 271 Perry Lane, Buchanan passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2007. Mr. Bollen was born in Polk County on May 23, 1944. He was the son of the late Alvin Rufus Bollen and the late Myrtle Akin Bollen. Mr. Bollen was a construction worker. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Kristi and Dennis Worthy of Buchanan; one son, Darren Bollen of Buchanan; three sisters, Wanda Woody of Dallas, Margaret Woody of Dallas and Evelyn Hulsey of Douglasville; five grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, February 2, 2007 at 4:00 P.M. from the Baptist Tabernacle Church with Rev. Buddy Gentry and Rev. Charles Worthy officiating. Music will be rendered by Rev. Buddy Gentry and Janice Daniel. Interment will follow in the Baptist Tabernacle Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Ross Bollen, Justin Akin, Chuck Williams, Josh Worthy, Chase Bollen, Tracy Hanson, Scott Martin and Dusty Bollen. Honorary pallbearers will be: Ralph Bollen, Johnny Akin, Tony Akin, Tommy Williams and Troy Bollen. Flowers will be accepted or you may make donations to Tanner Hospice or to the American Cancer Society. Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel of Buchanan is in charge of the arrangements.
