TSGT Jones Murkerson Murphy (U.S. Air Force Retired), age 84, of Felton passed away Wednesday, January 30, 2013. Mr. Murphy was born in Haralson County on January 20, 1929. He was the son of the late Joseph Murphy and the late Hattie Jones Murphy. Mr. Murphy served in the United States Air Force for over twenty years including service in Vietnam. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Virginia Daniel; and one brother, Joe Murphy.

Survivors include a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, February 3, 2013 at 3:00 P.M. from Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel with Rev. Buddy Gentry officiating. Music will be rendered by Rev. Buddy Gentry. Interment will follow in Felton Memory Gardens with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Mike Murphy, Larry Murphy, Kim Murphy, Amos Sparks, Danny Hutcheson and Chase Croft.

Military honors will be provided at the graveside.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday afternoon from 1:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M.
