Mr. Jon Marvin Davies, age 61, of Winston passed away Tuesday, October 23, 2007. Mr. Davies was born in Franklin County, Idaho on January 13, 1946. He was the son of the late Marvin Cecil Davies and Marie Neeley Davies of Lithia Springs. Mr. Davies a veteran of the United States Army and was a retired medical technologist. Survivors besides his mother include his wife, Nadine Clay Davies of Winston; three daughters and one son-in-law, Mary-Alice Davies of Winston, Laura Davies of Winston and Sarah and Shane Carleton of Washington, D.C.; three sons and one daughter-in-law, Jon M. Davies of Winston, Geoffrey V. Davies of Winston and Jared and Joanna Davies of Douglasville; and a number of other relatives. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, October 26, 2007 at 1:00 P.M. from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Douglasville with Bishop David Wade officiating. Interment will follow in the Mozley Memorial Gardens in Lithia Springs with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Shane Carleton, Johnny Barron, Rick Doan, Lew Davis, Clint Brooks, Geoffrey Davies, Jared Davies, Jon Davies and Michael Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be: Robert T. Clay, Leo A. Thomsen, Edward V. Clay, Gary L. Clay and James B. Clay. The family will receive friends at the Church on Monday from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel of Buchanan is in charge of the arrangements.
