Mr. Johnny Jay Arrant, age 73 of Bowdon, passed away on Monday, August 12, 2019. He was born on November 22, 1945 in Marietta to the late Elbert Jay Arrant and the late Evelyn Wallace Arrant. Besides his parents he is preceded in death by one grandchild Christian Arrant and two brothers Perry Arrant and Tony Arrant.

Survivors include his daughter, Donna Arrant of Buchanan; son and daughter-in-law, John (Cheryl) Arrant of Bowdon; ex-wife and life- long friend, Irene McCormick; three sisters, Shelia Tollason of Austell, Kathy Young of Georgia and Joan Arrant of Florida; two brothers and sister-in-law, Clyde (Jean) Arrant of Austell and Jerry Arrant of Summerville; four grandchildren, Drake Copeland, Reanna Michener, Sarah Cowart, Matthew Cowart and several other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 16, 2019 at Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel at 2:00 PM with Pastor John Butler officiating. Interment will follow in Bremen City Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers: Matthew Cowart, Donna Arrant, Glenn McCormick, John Arrant and Cheryl Arrant.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 12:00 noon until the funeral hour.
