John Carl Whorton, age 84 of Centre, AL, passed away on June 5, 2020. He was born on July 8, 1935 in Cherokee, AL to the late John Carl Whorton and the late Una Lewis Whorton.

Survivors include one daughter, Cynthia Lynn Cline of Cedar Bluff, AL; one brother, Elbert Andrew Whorton of Florence, AL; one sister, Lounell Holcombe of Centre; three grandchildren, five step grandchildren and several other relatives and friends.

In keeping with Mr. Whorton's wishes he will be cremated.

Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel & Crematory of Buchanan has charge of the cremation arrangements.
