Mr. John Webster Smith, Jr., age 74, of Bowdon passed away Tuesday, May 23, 2017.  Mr. Smith was born in Richmond County, Georgia, on December 4, 1942.  He was the son of the late John Webster Smith, Sr. and the late Helen Allene Smith.  Mr. Smith was retired from McCormick and Company where he worked as a production manager.

Survivors include his wife, Glenda Butler Smith; one daughter, Lisa Bell of Roopville; one son, Greg Smith of Franklin; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

The family will conduct a memorial service Friday, May 26, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. from Bowdon Baptist Church with Rev. Justin Richards officiating.

Cremation services are provided by Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel & Crematory of Buchanan.
