Mr. John Wiley Shumake, age 48, of Buchanan passed away Wednesday, July 16, 2014.  Mr. Shumake was born in Villa Rica, Georgia on June 10, 1966.  He was the son of the late Fred Shumake and the late Jeannette Lee Shumake.  Mr. Shumake was preceded in death by a sister, Lynn Kay.

Survivors include one sister and brother-in-law, Delane and Larry Waits of Rockmart; one brother and sister-in-law, Randal and LaDonna Shumake of Buchanan; and a number of other relatives.

Graveside services will be conducted Friday, July 18, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. from Centre Baptist Church Cemetery with Danny Hutcheson officiating.

Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel & Crematory of Buchanan is in charge of the arrangements.
