Mr. John "J.B." Bennett Gentry, age 81, of Bremen passed away Saturday, September 12, 2015.  Mr. Gentry was born in Haralson County, Georgia on April 4, 1934.  He was the son of the late Thomas Jefferson Gentry and the late Lula Vines Gentry.  Mr. Gentry was retired as a cabinetmaker from Lockheed Aircraft and was also the retired owner of Bilt-Rite Cabinet Company in Bremen.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Virginia Meeker Gentry who passed away on April 26, 2015 and one son, Kennette "Ken" Wayne Gentry who died on August 19, 2015.

Survivors include two daughters and one son-in-law, Linda and Warner Evans of Tallapoosa and Tammy Gentry of Bremen; four sons and three daughters-in-law, Ronnie and Tammy Gentry of Carrollton, Stephen A. Garner of Stevenson, AL, William and Doris Garner of Bremen and Chirs and Deeann Garner of Temple; one sister, Mary Smith of Carrollton; one brother, Hiram Gentry of Whitesburg; five grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, September 15, 2015 from 1:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.

In keeping with the family's wishes, Mr. Gentry will be cremated following the visitation.
