John F. Fink, age 66 of Buchanan, passed away suddenly on Saturday, October 18, 2025.  Born in Akron, Ohio, on September 26, 1959, he was the son of the late Frederick Fink, Jr. and the late Sandra Lorenz Fink.

John retired from Southwire where he worked for many years as a mechanic. A "Jack of all Trades," he could fix anything.  That love of fixing things included working on cars and trucks, especially his Chevy truck.  He was a die-hard Chevy fan and also love watching NASCAR. Living in the country, John enjoyed fishing and hunting.  He was skilled at crafting bullets, even though it was very tedious and time consuming, but he was patient and enjoyed using the bullet making presses that were passed down from his father..  John's hobbies included collecting guns, collecting coins of all kinds, and searching for arrowheads.  Spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, made life worthwhile.  John's pride and joy was being a full-time Pop Pop.  He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife of  44 years, Sue Fink of Buchanan; his daughters and sons-in-law, Sarah & Russell Perkins and Stacey & Brandon Newborn, all of Buchanan; his son and daughter-in-law, John & Cassidy Fink of Temple; and his precious grandchildren: Jake Newborn, Raelynn Newborn, Brody Wright, Bristol Fink, and Lucas Perkins. Also surviving are his sister, Kristi Payne of Akron, Ohio; his nephews, Kristopher Payne and Chad Boyer; his niece, Rachel Smith; and several other family members.

A celebration of John's life will be held on Friday, October 24, 2025, at 5:00 PM at Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel with Pastor Blake Terry officiating.

The family will receive friends on Friday at the chapel from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM.
