Mr. John Leonard Clifton, Sr., age 57, of 430 Raburn Rd., Bremen passed away Tuesday, November 13, 2007. Mr. Clifton was born in Randolph County, Alabama on April 5, 1950. He was the son of the son of Charles R. Clifton of Quinlin, TX and the late Mae D. Hogan Clifton. Mr. Clifton was a construction worker. Besides his mother he was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn McKee Clifton and a brother, Larry Clifton. Survivors besides his father include four daughters and three sons-in-law, Leila and Rene Hernandez of Carrollton, Cynthia Clifton Gorham of Carrollton, Sharon and Ciro Acevedo of Bremen and Cheryl and Jason Keith of Mesa, AZ; one son and daughter-in-law, John L. and Beth Clifton, Jr. of Carrollton; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Alice Story of Carrollton and Dixie and Jerry Kee of Carrollton; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Roy and Jane Clifton of Bremen and Charles R. Clifton of Bremen; twelve grandchildren; one great grandchild; and a number of other relatives. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, November 16, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. from Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel with Rev. Mark Stroud and Deacon Armstrong officiating. Following the service the body will be cremated. Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel of Buchanan is in charge of the arrangements.
