Mr. John Howard Bedingfield, Sr., age 69, of Temple passed away Friday, July 3, 2015.  Mr. Bedingfield was born in Buford, Georgia on August 14, 1945.  He was the son of the late William Robert Bedingfield and the late Sallie Mae Huggins Bedingfield.  Mr. Bedingfield was a veteran of the United States Army and was the retired owner of Alternator and Starter Repair of Cedartown.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Diane Horton Bedingfield; two sons, John Howard Bedingfield, Jr. and Daniel Horton; and one grandchild, John Matthew Horton.

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Kevin Posey of Temple; two sons and daughters-in-law, James and Rhea Horton of Villa Rica and Tim and Macy Bedingfield of Jacksonville, FL; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Cricket and Steve Ransom of Palmetto and Cookie and Terry Rainwater of Hogansville; six brothers and four sisters-in-law, James and Elaine Bedingfield of Wedowee, AL; Bobby Bedingfield of Douglasville, Thomas and Jo Ann Bedingfield of Union City, Billy and Elaine Bedingfield of Woodland, AL, Roy Bedingfield of Mableton and David and Melissa Bedingfield of Mableton; eleven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, July 6, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. from Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel with Rev. Craig Dallas and Rev. Travis Prichard officiating.  Interment will follow in Meadowbrook Memory Gardens, Villa Rica with military honors.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday evening from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M.
