Joey Dean Rainey, age 54 of Buchanan, passed away on Saturday, November 5, 2022. He was born on June 24, 1968, to the late Billy Joe Rainey and the late Joyce Brannon Dobbs.  Joey was a truck driver  until his health began failing.  Fishing and watching drag racing were two of his favorite pasttimes.   But most of all, he loved being with his family.

Survivors include his daughters, Hannah Rainey of Bremen and Isabella Rainey of Bremen; his son, Cody Rainey of Bremen; his step-father and step-mother, Larry and Arlene Dobbs of Felton; his sisters, Joy Rainey of Buchanan and Jamie Dobbs (Charlie) Thurman of Whitesburg; and several other relatives and friends.

In keeping with Joey's wishes he was cremated.

A memorial service for Joey will be held on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at 4:00 PM from Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel with Dr. Mason Bush and Reverend Richard Brannon officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2:00 PM until the service hour.
