Mr. Jody Hubert Sparks, age 58, of 729 Felton-Rockmart Rd., Buchanan passed away Saturday, July 25, 2009. Mr. Sparks was born in Haralson County on October 8, 1950. He was the son of the late Hubert Sparks and the late Bernice Lee Sparks. Mr. Sparks was a retired banker. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Madeline Williams Sparks; one sister, Jimmie Lou White; and one brother, Dan Sparks. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Marcelle and Bo Robinson of Muscadine, AL; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Amy Fennell of Dallas and Gail and Wayne Cox of Buchanan; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Sam and Marsha Sparks of Buchanan and Amos and Karen Sparks of Buchanan; four grandchildren, Joe Hulsey, Cynthia Hulsey, Zach Robinson and Noah Robinson; and a number of other relatives. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, July 27, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. from Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel with Rev. Richard Brannon and Rev. Wayne Pike officiating. Music will be rendered by Donnie and Brenda Johnson. Interment will follow in the Centre Baptist Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Dan Sparks, Kip Williams, Hubert Sparks, Mike Fennell, Bo Cook, Terry Garrett, Chad Cox, Jake McCollum and Ryan Casey. Caledonia Lodge #121 is in charge of Masonic Graveside Rites. Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel & Crematory of Buchanan is in charge of the arrangements.
