Mrs. Joan Emmajean Jackson Sanders, age 87 of Buchanan, passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2019. She was born on February 21, 1932 to the late Lonnie Jackson and the late Evelyn Weaver Jackson. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Othelia Sanders.

Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Lonnie Randolph Sanders of Buchanan, Anthony Othelia (Patricia) Sanders of Houston, TX and Joseph Todd (Kathleen) Sanders of Dawsonville; one sister, Johnnie Sue Thornton of Buchanan; six grandchildren, Marcy (Brandon) Heath, Nicole Sanders, Holly Sanders, Toni (Aaron) McKee, Catherine (Dan) Sharer and Matthew (Melissa) Murphey; seven great grandchildren and several other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 8, 2019 at 2:00 PM from Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel with Patty Hutcheson officiating.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until the service hour.
