Mr. J.L. "Kenneth" Houston, age 56 of 100 Causey Rd., Bremen passed away Wednesday, February 24, 2010. Mr. Houston was born in Haralson County on November 15, 1953. He was the son of the late Ruben Jackson Houston and the late Jo Anna Leatherwood Houston. Mr. Houston worked in the timber and pulp industry.
Survivors include eight sisters and seven brothers-in-law, Betty Duke (Thomas Walker) of Rockmart, Janice and Bo Adams of Cedartown, Patricia and David Atkins of Lindale, Martha and David Coleman of Cave Spring, Peggy Braswell of Buchanan, Pam and Larry Dunn of Cedartown, Sara and Charlie McElroy of Bremen and Linda and Tony Carter of Bremen; six brothers and sisters-in-law, Billy and Jean Houston of Gaylesville, AL, Jerry and Louise Houston of Franklin, Jimmy and Dorothy Houston of Bremen, Bobby and Peggy Houston of Temple, Johnny and Marie Houston of Bremen and Jeff and Linda Houston of Temple; and a number of other relatives.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, February 27, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. from Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel with Rev. Ralph Ploof and Danny Hutcheson officiating. Interment will follow in the Welcome Baptist Church Cemetery.
