Mr. Jimmy Roger Davis, age 72, of 268 McKibben Rd., Buchanan passed away Sunday, June 15, 2008. Mr. Davis was born in Haralson County on March 29, 1936. He was the son of the late Lovie Davis and the late Ora Leatherwood Davis. Mr. Davis was retired from Ford Motor Company. Survivors include his wife, Elmira Davis of Buchanan; one daughter and son-in-law, Patty and W.J. Cole of Cedartown; one son, Roger Davis of Cedartown; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Annette and Windell Lyle of Cedartown and May Nell and Donnie Anderson of Cedartown; two brothers, and sisters-in-law, Lovie, Jr. and Judy Davis of Cedartown and Bunk and Brenda Davis of Cedartown; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at 4:00 P.M. from Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel with Rev. Jason Hudgens and Rev. Richard Brannon officiating. Music will be rendered by Rev. Buddy Gentry. Interment will follow in the Union Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Chuck Green, Marvin Ford, Dean Tanner, Jimmy Pope, Larry Dobbs, Bo Cook, Bobby Lee and Craig Coalson. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel of Buchanan is in charge of the arrangements.
