Mrs. Jewell N. McPherson of Bremen passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 30, 2020, after a brief illness.  She was born in Dade County, FL, on September 27, 1927, to the late Bernadine Cheek Neundorfer and Oscar Lewis Neundorfer.  Jewell spent her life taking care of her home and family.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl W. McPherson, and only child, Charles Hamilton McPherson.

Mrs. McPherson was a longtime member of the Bremen First United Methodist Church, where she was active in the Fidelis Walker Sunday School Class and was a supporter of the preschool program and Kids Quest after-school program.  She also enjoyed serving her community and was a longtime worker at Haralson County Ministries, where she greeted people and helped check them out.  She and her husband also supported the Bremen City Schools, most notably by helping fund and build the Hamilton-McPherson Fine Arts Center at Bremen High School.  Her sweet smile will be missed.

A private graveside service is planned for Saturday, August 8th, 2020.
