Mrs. Jewell Gladys Redding Hudgins, age 96, of Temple passed away Tuesday, February 8, 2011. Mrs. Hudgins was born in Carroll County on July 19, 1914. She was retired from Vince Hosiery Mill in Villa Rica. She was preceded in death by her husband, Otto Lamar Hudgins and one son, Starlin Helton. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Marvin and Marilyn Helton of Croton, MI and Frankie and Jan Hudgins of Temple; two sisters, Betty Driver of Bremen and Vivian Byrum of Dallas; five grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; sixteen great great grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, February 10, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. from the Graveside at Liberty Christian Church Cemetery with Jackie LaFollette officiating. Interment will follow in Liberty Christian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel & Crematory of Buchanan is in charge of the arrangements.
