Mr. Jerry Mike Spivey, age 65, of Temple passed away Saturday, November 16, 2013.  Mr. Spivey was born in Birmingham, Alabama on March 16, 1948.  He was the son of the late Emmett Morgan Spivey and the late Ola Mae Norton Spivey.  Mr. Spivey was a veteran of the United State Marine Corps and was a retired bill collector.

Survivors include his wife, Diane Bagley Spivey of Temple; one daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Allen Black of Villa Rica; one step-son, Frank Mayhood of Temple; one sister and brother-in-law, Helen and James Dewberry of Temple; one brother and sister-in-law, Emmett M. and Sandra Spivey of Pell City, AL; one grandchild, A.J. Black; and a number of other relatives.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. from Faith Baptist Church with Rev. Travis Pritchard, Frank Mayhood and Danny Hutcheson officiating.  Interment will follow in District Line United Methodist Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Jamie Robinson, Joey Robinson, Ronnie Robinson, Eric Fortner, Frank Mayhood and Trish Breon.  Serving as an honorary pallbearer will be A.J. Black.

The remains will lie in state at the Church Tuesday from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday evening and Monday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M.
