Mr. Jerry Houston, age 72, of Rockmart, passed away on Tuesday, September 24, 2019. He was born in Haralson County on August 2, 1947 to the late Jack R. Houston and the late Joan Leatherwood Houston. Besides his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Margie Louise Houston; two sisters, Joyce Tanner and Rebecca Cline and six brothers, Billy Houston, Bobby Houston, Jimmy Houston, Kenneth Houston, Steve Houston and David Houston.

Survivors include eight sisters, Betty Duke of Rockmart, Janice Adams of Cedartown, Patricia Atkins of Lindale, Martha Coleman of Rome, Peggy McCall of Buchanan, Pam Dunn of Cedartown, Sarah McElroy of Bremen and Linda Carter of Bremen; two brothers Johnny Houston of Bremen, Jeff Houston of Temple and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 27, 2019 from Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel at 3:00 PM with Reverend Barry Snapp officiating. Interment will follow in Jesus Is The Way Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
