Mr. Jeffrey Elon Jones, age 57, of Tallapoosa passed away Monday, May 11, 2015. Mr. Jones was born in Atlanta, Georgia on January 7, 1958.  Mr. Jones was a veteran of the United States Army.  He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Elon Jones.

Survivors include his wife, Sherri Brown Jones of Tallapoosa; two daughters and one son-in-law, Jennifer Jones of Tallapoosa and Annette and Nick Maxwell of Dallas; one son and daughter-in-law, J.C. and Stacy Womack, Jr. of Tallapoosa; four sisters and three brothers-in-law, Denise Jones and Bill Lovvorn of Woodland, AL, Michelle and Boyd Hanson of Woodstock, Connie and Don Harman of Cartersville and Sena Keller of Stone Mountain; two brothers, Wesley "Skip" Jones and Steven Keller both of Pine Log; mother, Carol Ann Smith Keller of Pine Log; four grandchildren, Timothy Maxwell, Sky Strickland, Rayne Jones and Caleb Maxwell; and a number of other relatives.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, May 15, 2015 at 12:00 Noon from Lighthouse Church in Tallapoosa with Rev. Frankie Jenkins officiating.  Cremation will follow.

The remains will lie in state at the Church from 11:00 A.M. until 12:00 Noon.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M.
