Mrs. Jean Walden Ploof, age 76, of Buchanan passed away Friday, September 7, 2012. Mrs. Ploof was born in Polk County on September 30, 1935. She was the daughter of the late Raymond Walden and the late Bertha Finch Walden. Mrs. Ploof was a homemaker. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Dean Walden.

Survivors include her husband, C.W. Ploof of Buchanan; two daughters and sons-in-law, Vicki and Jerry Wright of Bremen and Rhonda and Barry Buttram of Buchanan; four grandchildren, Jayce Buttram, Josh Buttram, Laura Deen and Abbey Dockins; and a number of other relatives.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, September 9, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. from Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel with Rev. John Smith officiating. Music will be rendered by Rev. Buddy Gentry and Sheila Norton. Interment will follow in Union Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Jerry Wright, Barry Buttram, Jeremy Dockins, Ralph Ploof, Jerry Hagan, Jayce Buttram and Josh Buttram.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
