Mr. J.D. Dyer, Jr., age 77, of Buchanan passed away Monday, February 9, 2015.  Mr. Dyer was born in Bremen, Georgia on May 16, 1937.  He was the son of the late Jesse Dyer, Sr. and the late Inez Little Dyer.  Mr. Dyer was a retired truck driver.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Larry Denton Dyer; one sister, Vassie Hayes; and one brother, Calvin Dyer.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy Ann Williams Dyer of Buchanan; one son, Eugene Hooper of Rome; four step-daughters, Lynn and her husband, Chris Davis of Lindale, Michelle and her husband, Don Keever of Cedartown, April and her husband, J.R. Rampley of Rockmart and Ann and her husband, Freddie Miller of Rockmart; four step sons, Russell and his wife, Kathy Allen, James H. Miller, Billy and his wife, Nita Miller all of Cedartown and Johnny Miller of Buchanan; two sisters, Betty Pike and Velma Dyer both of Buchanan; one brother, George Dyer of Alabama; twenty grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Memorial services will be conducted at a later date.
