Janie Lorene Williams

Janie Lorene Williams, age 60 of Buchanan, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 5, 2026.  Born on June 28, 1966, she was the beloved daughter of the late Sharon Rebecca Loeffler and Kenneth Elrod.

For many years, Janie worked in the plumbing business, learning and doing every aspect of the job.  Janie also owned and operated a local bar where she fostered many friendships amongst the community.  Always willing to serve, she spent many hours volunteering and fund raising for charitable causes; her special cause was helping with foster children.  Janie also enjoyed having fun which included dancing and playing the "Ding Ding" machines.  Her family, though, was her passion, and they all enjoyed family time playing cards or board games.  Janie will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Left to cherish her memories are her daughters and son-in-law, Amber & Ty Eaton of Buchanan and Brittany Nicholls of Woodstock; and her precious grandchildren: Jordon & Zee Eaton, Mason Eaton, Alex Eaton, and Amiyah Eaton.  Also surviving are her sister,  Amy Fowler of Tallapoosa; her brother, Ken Elrod of North Dakota; and many, many friends.

In honoring her wishes, Janie will be cremated.
