Janice Clestelle McClain Lyle, age 76 of Tallapoosa, passed away on Monday, July 3, 2023. Born on May 29, 1947, in Tallapoosa, she was the daughter of the late Clifton "Babe" McClain and the late Pauline Williams McClain. In addition to her parents, Clestelle is preceded in death by her husband Terry Lyle; one sister, Irene Witcher; one brother, Ronald McClain and brother-in-law, Toby Day.

Clestelle rarely missed a day meeting friends and eating at the Tallapoosa Hardees. Her favorite meal was a hamburger, fries and a Coke. Even though she loved sleeping in, Clestelle really enjoyed her morning Corn Flakes, too.  She dearly loved her family and friends.

Survivors include her only daughter and son-in-law, April and David Blalock of Lindale; her sister, Tonnie Ann Day of Niceville, FL; her sister-in-law, Charlotte McClain of Buchanan; and her best friend since childhood, Connie Ingram.  Also surviving are her grandchildren, Lauren (Ray) Benefield of Ranburne, Blake (Lacey) Hicks of Tallapoosa, Matthew (Hannah) Blalock of Lindale and Amanda (Eric) Watson of Silver Creek; her precious great grandchildren, Zaden, Kaitlynn, Ava, Blakely, Bailey, Savannah, Payton and Emily, and several other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be conducted on Thursday, July 6, 2023, at 12 Noon from the McClain Family Cemetery in Tallapoosa with Reverend Alton Stamey and Brother Homer Wysner officiating.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 10:00 AM until 11:30 AM at Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be sent to the funeral home to help with the funeral expenses
