Mrs. Janice Brown Jones, age 71 of Bremen, passed away on Friday, December 14, 2018 at Tanner Medical Center in Carrollton.  She was born on June 25, 1947 to the late Newman Brown and Dorothy Moore Brown.  She previously worked as a CNA at Floyd Medical Center.  In more recent years, she was an avid supporter and regular volunteer at the Bremen Food Bank.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Jones, her sister, Shelia Ploof and her granddaughter, Victoria Windom.

Survivors include one daughter, Melanie (Tommy) Mullins of Bremen and one son, Mark (Tammie) Windom of Tallapoosa; five grandchildren, Michael N. Mullins, Mitchell Mullins, Taylor Windom, Hannah Windom, and Mallory Windom; eight great-grandchildren, Duke Snuggs, Michael B. Mullins, Mason Mullins, Alexis DeFoor, Anslee Mullins, Maddie Blue, Makenzy Blue, and Makayla Blue.  A host of nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, December 17, 2018 at 2:00 PM Georgia Time at Friendship Baptist Church in Muscadine, AL.  She will lie in state one hour prior to the funeral service.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 16, 2018 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel in Buchanan, GA.
