Miss Janey Kathleen McDaniel, 75, of Tallapoosa, GA, passed away on Wednesday, December 27, 2023.  Jane was born in Fulton County on August 25, 1948.  She was the daughter of the late Dorsey McDaniel and the late Doris Cantrell Howell.

Born with a mental disability, Jane lived her life with a good-natured, childlike wonder and considered everyone she met to be her friend. After her mother died, she lived with her brother-in-law and  sister, Buren and Nancy Webster, and her brother-in-law continued to care for her after his wife's death in 2013.  Jane enjoyed watching Wheel of Fortune and the Rockettes, eating at Chick-fil-A, shopping for shoes, and listening to her Dolly Parton CDs.  She was a member of Utopia Baptist Church in Villa Rica and loved her church family.

Survivors include brother-in-law, Buren Webster of Tallapoosa; two nieces and their husbands, Angela and Alex McRae of Newnan and Rhonda and Brad Horton of Tallapoosa; three great-nieces, including Madison Sibley and her husband, Logan; Carolyn Bell and her husband, Blake; and Amelia Horton; and a great-nephew, Matthew Horton. Over the summer she was happy to finally meet her great great-nephew, Ezra Bell.

A graveside service for Janey McDaniel will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at Mozeley Memorial Gardens in Lithia Springs with Rev. David Huckebea officiating.
