Mrs. Janet Bernice Milby Holcombe, age 62, of 13593 Co. Rd. 55, Fruithurst, Alabama passed away Monday, June 15, 2009. Mrs. Holbome was born in Montgomery County, Ohio on June 20, 1946. She was the daughter of the late Henry Milby, Sr. and Mary Goddard Milby. Mrs. Holcombe was a homemaker. Besides her father, she was preceded in death by two children, Daniel Ray Bryant and Russell Jeremy Hunter and one sister, Gail Christian. Survivors besides her mother include her husband, Jackie Holcombe of Fruithurst, AL; two daughters, Rhonda and Greg Bowling of Tallapoosa and Kimberly and Roy Taylor of Leesburg, AL; one son and daughter-in-law, Richard, Jr. and Paula Hunter of Heflin, AL; one sister, Joyce Brown of Crestwood, OH; four brothers and one sister-in-law, Henry and Marilyn Milby, Jr. of Troy, OH, Bob Milbry of OH, Don Milby of OH and Dick Milby of OH; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, June 16, 2009 at 12:00 (Eastern Time) from the Mount Olive Church of God in Fruithurst, AL with Rev. James Ownes officiating. Music will be rendered by April Williams. Interment will follow in the Mount Olive Baptist Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbeaers: Steve Ingram, Matt Owens, Glenn Holcombe, Rowland Holcombe, Rocky Daniel and Darrell Daniel.
