Mrs. Jan Hutcheson Wills, age 91, of Flat Rock, North Carolina passed away Monday, March 21, 2016.  Mrs. Wills was born in Buchanan, Georgia on August 27, 1924. Mrs. Wills was the daughter of Arleigh Virdon and Blanche Hutcheson.

She is survived by her son, Byron "Bud" Oliver Merritt, III and his wife, Janice Merritt of Milledgeville, Georgia; her daughter, Georgianne Merritt and grandson, Byron "Hutch" Hutcheson Merritt of Hendersonville, North Carolina; her sister, Elsa Fuller of Cumming, Georgia; many nephews, nieces and loving friends throughout the country.

Graveside services will be conducted Friday, March 25, 2016 at 12:00 Noon from Buchanan City Cemetery with Georgianne Merritt officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Methodist Children's Home, 500 S. Columbia Drive, Decatur GA 30030 or to the Alzheimer's Association, 41 Perimeter Center East, Suite 550, Atlanta, GA  30346-1910.

Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel & Crematory of Buchanan is in charge of the arrangements.
