Mr. James Taylor Wood, age 75, of Buchanan passed away Thursday, January 15, 2015.  Mr. Wood was born in Haralson County, Georgia on February 6, 1939.  He was the son of the late Hollis Thomas Wood and the late Daisy Brown Wood.  Mr. Wood was a veteran of the United States Navy and was retired from Ford Motor Company.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Ida Lea Patterson.

Survivors include his wife Carolyn Truett Wood of Buchanan; one daughter and son-in-law, Robin and Allen Spence of Carrollton; one son and daughter-in-law, Todd and Anne Wood of Buchanan; one sister, Nora Green of Carrollton; one brother and sister-in-law, Clifton and Barbara Wood of Cedartown; three grandchildren, Andrew Tyler Spence of Carrollton, Cody Alexander Spence of Carrollton and Tara Danielle Wood of Buchanan; and a number of other relatives.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday evening from 7:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M.

Private interment will be Sunday at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
