Mr. James "Monroe" Mullins, age 69 of Buchanan, passed away Friday, February 26, 2021, in a local hospital.  He was born October 28, 1951, in Cedartown, GA, to the late William "Bill" Monroe Mullins and Effie Lou Sanders Mullins.  Monroe was a retired truck driver who loved his family, country life and dirt roads.

He is survived by his wife, Lynn Mullins of Buchanan; two sisters, Joyce Philpot of Buchanan and Scharlette Howard of Carrollton; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Billy and Ruth Mullins of Savannah and Ronald and Bernice Mullins of Buchanan; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In accordance with Mr. Mullins' wishes, he will be cremated and no service is planned at this time.
