Mr. James "Jim" Robert Rierson, Sr., age 73, of Tallapoosa passed away Monday, May 11, 2015.  Mr. Rierson was born in Stamford, Texas on March 12, 1942.  He was the son of the late Malcolm T. Rierson and the late Lenice Ledbetter Rierson.  Mr. Rierson owned a pet shop for many years.

Survivors include his wife, Suzanne Dunn Rierson of Tallapoosa; two daughters and sons-in-law, Kelly and James Chandler of Buchanan and Holly and Bill Crawford of China Springs, TX; two sons and daughters-in-law, James "Rob" and Sondra Rierson of Tallapoosa and Jonathan and Marcie Rierson of Hewitt, TX; nine grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Memorial services will be conducted Saturday, May 16, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. from Tallapoosa First United Methodist Church with Rev. Sonny Moon and Rev. Jimmy Bryan officiating.
