James Wilton Huey, age 82 of Carrollton, passed away Sunday, March 31, 2024, in a local hospital.  Born on May 17, 1941, in Carroll County, he was the son of the late Dorsey Fred Huey and the late Ila Ree Ragland Huey.  In addition to his parents, Wilton is preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Waller, and a brother, Robert Huey.

Faith, family, and fun were Wilton's passions.  He loved his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and had been a member of Eureka Baptist Church for many years.  Spending time with his family brought him so much joy, and he truly loved the birthday and holiday celebrations.  Watching the Braves play baseball was one of Wilton's favorite pastimes, and he also spent many hours drawing and painting.  He will be dearly missed by his family.

Survivors include his nieces, Wendy & John Grey of Villa Rica, Dee & Roger Harper of Mt. Zion, and Kim & Cory Payne of Bremen; his nephew Rob & Tami Huey of Roswell; and a number of great nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services for Wilton Huey will be conducted on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at 3:00 PM from Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel.  Interment will follow in the Eureka Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday at the funeral home from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM.
