James Stephen Foster, age 72 of Temple, passed away Thursday, June 26, 2025. Born i n Phenix City, Alabama, on August 26, 1952, he was the son of the late Fred Eugene Foster and the late Martha Sue Johnson Foster. In addition to his parents, Steve is preceded in death by his brother, Frank Eugene Foster.
Steve was a devoted son and father. Family and work were his top priorities. Steve took exceptional care of his parents during their later years, all while he continued working. Known to be a hard working man, he began his work career at Southwire and then was employed by Lockheed Martin, retiring after 41 years of dedicated service. In his leisure time, Steve loved to be outdoors enjoying nature. Waffle House in Carrollton was his favorite food destination, and he spent many hours riding around looking at real estate and land. Steve took care of those he loved, including his pets. He also enjoyed attending "Church at the Birches" and singing the gospel hymns. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
His survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Stacee and Chris Turner of Temple; his precious granddaughter, Allison Turner; and his sister, Sharon Lewis.
In keeping with Steve's wishes, he was cremated.
