Mr. James Robert Dewberry, age 84, of Temple passed away Tuesday, January 20, 2015. Mr. Dewberry was born in Carroll County, Georgia on April 22, 1930.  He was the son of the late Rufus Dewberry and the late Ruth Rutledge Dewberry.  Mr. Dewberry was a retired truck driver with Atlanta Motor Lines.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one grandchild, Allison Wilson; three sisters, Sue Dewberry, Dorothy Stephens and Sandra Funk; three brothers, Billy Dewberry, Harold Dewberry and Hershel Dewberry.

Survivors include his wife, Helen Grant Dewberry of Temple; four daughters and sons-in-law, Joyce and Randy Taylor, Judy and Ronnie Robinson, June and Ronald Fortner all of Temple and Julie and Phillip Wilson of Bremen; three sisters, Linda Newborn of Carrollton, Barbara Cole and Norma Shaw both of Temple; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Joe and Faye Nell Dewberry, Jack and Clara Dewberry and Ray and Lynn Dewberry all of Bremen; eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, January 22, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. from Faith Baptist Church in Temple with Rev. Travis Prichard, Rev. Van Brown and Danny Hutcheson officiating.  Interment will follow in District Line United Methodist Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Robby Norton, Ronnie Norton, Jamie Robinson, Joey Robinson, Eric Fortner and David Dewberry.  Serving as honorary pallbearers will be: Dustin Norton and Joey Robinson.

The remains will lie in state at the family residence located at 2210 Liberty Church Road, Temple, GA  30179 from Wednesday at 2:00 P.M. until Thursday at 1:00 P.M.
