Mr. James Lee Chambers, age 52, of 60 Griffith St., Buchanan passed away Tuesday, July 24, 2007. Mr. Chambers was born in Spalding County on February 12, 1955. He was the son of the late John Chambers and the late Katie Lucile Cox Chambers. Mr. Chambers was an automobile mechanic. Survivors include his wife, Marie Ray Chambers of Buchanan; one daughter, Katie Marie Underwood of Fayetteville; one son, James Lee Chambers, Jr. of Buchanan; four sisters, Betty Ann Dickal of Bristol, CT, Sara Hutchins of Fairburn, Linda Ward of Douglasville and Janie Deeds of Union City; two brothers, John M Chambers of Tyrone and Michael Ray Chambers of Fairburn; two grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, July 26, 2007 from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. with the funeral service being conducted at 7:30 P.M. with Rev. Wallace McIntyre officiating. Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel of Buchanan is in charge of the arrangements.
