James Allen Burton, age 64, passed away Sunday, March 24, 2024, in a local hospital.  Born in Atlanta, GA, on March 23, 1960, he was the son of Irene Causey Burton and the late Richard Burton. In addition to his father, James was preceded in death by his wife, Debra Burton.

James was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing.  He was also a car enthusiast and loved anything to do with cars.

Survivors include his mother, Irene Burton; his sisters, Joan Chandler of Buchanan, Audrey Rowell of Buchanan, and Angela Dollar of Bremen; his brother Eugene Burton of Bremen; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In accordance with his wishes, James was cremated.

Cremation services were entrusted to Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel & Crematory of Buchanan.
