James Harold Addison, age 69 of Tallapoosa, passed away Sunday March 30, 2025.  Born in Tallapoosa on October 31, 1955, he was the son of Lola Lepard Addison and the late Allen Addison. In addition to his father, James is also preceded in death by his brother, Steve Addison.

After high school, James spent many years working in Atlanta and even spent some time in New York. But Tallapoosa was home and he returned home to be with his family, whom he dearly loved.  James was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed working in the yard and tending the flowers.  His favorite times of the year were spring and summer.  He will be dearly missed by all who loved him.

Left to cherish his memories are his mother, Lola Addison of Tallapoosa; his sister Joan Holcombe of Tallapoosa; and his brothers and sisters-in-law, Jeff & Julie Addison, Joe Addison, all of Tallapoosa and Keith & Stacy Addison of Bremen.  Also surviving are his nieces and nephews, Donavon Addison of Tallapoosa, Dustin (Kerrisa) Addison of Buchanan, Robbie Pitts of Tallapoosa, Chuck Tassin of Tallapoosa, Crystal (Tommy) Smith of Heflin, Jona Addison of Carrollton, and Samantha (Tony) Harrod of Bremen; as well as other extended family members and friends.

Funeral services for James will be conducted on Sunday, April 6, 2025, at 2:00 PM from Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel with Rev. Jeff Addison officiating.  James will be laid to rest at Hollywood Cemetery in Tallapoosa.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon from Noon until the 2:00 PM.
