Mrs. Irene Brown Henry, age 76 formerly of Buchanan, GA (Corinth) passed away peacefully Sunday morning, January 28, 2024.  Born in Buchanan, Georgia, February 4, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Carl Joseph Brown and the late Jewell Dean Brown.  In addition to her parents, Irene is preceded in death by her late husband of 53 years, Dwight Henry, whom she missed dearly.

Aside from being a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Irene worked for many years with Sewell Manufacturing in Bremen, then went on to work for 25 years and retire February 2023 for Meggit, formerly Goodyear, in Rockmart making fuel tanks for aircraft.  She was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, coworker, and friend.

Survivors include her only son and daughter-in-law, David and Missy Henry of Heflin, AL; her brother and sister-in-law, Walt and Debbie Brown of Corinth; 4 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.

Upon Irene's wishes she was cremated and a graveside service at Piney Wood Cemetery (Rockmart Road, Buchanan, GA) will be conducted on Saturday, February 10, 2024, at 1:00 PM ffor those desiring to attend.
