Ms. Imogene Wood Brown, age 85, of Buchanan passed away Friday, May 1, 2015.  Ms. Wood was born in Haralson County, Georgia on October 2, 1929.  She was the daughter of the late William S. Wood and the late Lorena Bagwell Wood.  Ms. Wood worked for many years at First National Bank of Georgia retiring as the executive secretary to the President.

Survivors include three daughters and two sons-in-law, Cherl and Gary Schubert of Alpharetta, Carole and Ronald Wright of Peachtree City and Terri Brown of Buchanan; grandchildren and spouses, Heather and Mike Mayer, Natalie and Seth Mitchell, Jon and Ellen Wright and Amy and Shane Sheffield; great grandchildren, Isabelle Mayer, Hannah Mayer, Joshua Mayer, Benjamin Mayer, Anniston Mitchell, Claire Mitchell, Luke Mitchell, Elizabeth Mitchell, Matt Wright, Tim Wright, Madeleine Sheffield and Alex Sheffield; and a number of other relatives.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, May 4, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. from Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel with Dr. Alan Wilburn officiating.  Interment will follow in the Buchanan City Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Mike Mayer, Seth Mitchell, Jonathan Wright, Eddie Ayers, David Norton and Charles Wood.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday afternoon from 2:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M.
